A dynamic and value focused medium size commercial Law Firm based in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking to recruit outstanding lawyers for the position of:
Job Title: Senior Associate
Location: Lagos
Role:
Reporting directly to the Partners, the Senior Associates responsible for overseeing legal services delivery in the firm and ensuring quality assurance.
The key roles of the Senior Associate include to:
- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Lead and co-ordinate the corporate finance and capital market transactions of the Firm.
- Lead and co-ordinate the corporate governance, company secretarial and regulatory compliance services of the Firm.
- Provide legal opinion on issues as may be required
- Manage subordinates and supervise their deliverables.
- Manage clients and relationships with clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Second Class degree in Law from a University and the Nigerian Law School
- Relevant post graduate degree(s). Other professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant and robust post-call work experience in a law firm or legal department of a business organization.
- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, transaction structuring, corporate governance and company secretarial services, corporate finance and regulatory compliance.
- Attributes of Professionalism, Integrity, Team work and Leadership.
- Computer Literacy.
