GPON is presently operating in the Northeastern regional part of Nigeria where we have reached over 100,000 lives with relief materials, child protection services. GBV mitigation services, livelihood skill-building, health services, and Education support services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Roving Mine Educator

Dimensions of the Role

• The MRE will be responsible for the direct plan, monitor, implement the MRE activities and ensure training and risk awareness quality
• Plan, monitor, implement the MRE activities and ensure training and risk awareness quality
• Empower, build capacity and coach other staff, community volunteers and other stakeholder staff
• Ensure communication, networking and coordination at field level for MRE activities
• Conduct MRE training in the assigned project communities according to MRE SOP in close co-operation with the project coordinator.
• Collect and compile mine/victim information during community visits, and share it with report it to the project coordinator.
• Be responsible for MRE training material condition and quantities designated for the team.
• Check all equipment and training material of the team for any damages in a daily basis and report accordingly.
• Any security Issue you have to Report to the project coordinator or Security cordinator.
• Keep record of daily, weekly and monthly MRE activities.
• Report the progress weekly to the project coordinator.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven skills on capacity building / teaching / awareness raising sessions and communications.
• Experience with Mine Risk Education programming
• Knowledge and at least 2 years' experience in project implementation / experience in working with local communities, and loc authorities.
• Experience in training / facilitating / coaching,
• Experience in coordinating with stakeholders.
