As one of the conglomerates in Nigeria, we are a leading Multinational in search of Senior Sales people with FMCG background. The Company is seeking to recruit candidates who currently in this role have been successful to fill the position of:

Job Title: Sales Director

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the team to support sales strategies and to deliver profitable sales growth. Recommend, obtain approval and implement any changes needed to align the sales organization with overall business strategy.
  • Assess sales staff to ensure effective leadership, and appropriate staffing, structure, skill sets and training to meet aggressive sales goals and evolving business needs.
  • Create a sustain effective collaborative partnerships with key Channel Partners.
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses of Sales Channel Partners, rehabilitating and/or upgrading where appropriate and filling vacancies in key growth markets in support of global expansion plans.
  • Determine and implement the most appropriate sales market structures to achieve revenue goals, secure new business opportunities and win customers.
  • Complete thorough market analysis to improve product positioning and to increase the effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Work with Human Resource to develop and implement innovative incentive programs which align individual and sales team compensation with goals and objectives.
  • Track, manage and communicate sales forecasts and results by salesperson and distributor.
  • Develop and implement reseller agreements, distribution strategies and other sales opportunities.
  • Conduct performance analysis on existing products with a view to identifying and monitoring market trends.
  • Provide strategic direction for the overall operations of various sales units to achieve business plans.
  • Advise management on sales directions, competitors and market trends, including technology trends.
Qualifications, Experience, Attributes and Skills Required:
  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering or any other related field.
  • An MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong selling, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years in direct sales experience, 5+ years sales management experience and 5+ years of independent distribution management experience, preferably in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Banking and /or Telecommunications industry.
  • Appreciable experience in enterprise sales will be required.
