We are currently seeking motivated and excellence-driven candidates with extensive experience in design to join our engineering team in the position below:

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Purpose

• Responsible for Electrical design of the assigned system(s) by the lead engineer on a large project
• Leading the Electrical team in small projects
• Training and development of less experienced engineers within the Electrical team.

Main Functions

• Responsible for assigned portion of Electrical design of oil and gas facilities covering preparation of philosophies, Electrical specification, Equipment sizing, Electricalpower system design, Load & power system studies, Single line diagram, MTO, RFQ, lists, datasheets and electrical drawings on the large project under the supervision of lead.
• Responsible for all work completed in Electrical discipline on small projects
• Planning, management and coordination of Electrical discipline activities in the projects including client and subcontractorvendors, from conception through to commissioning in small projects.
• Provide Electrical input to other disciplines and 3rd parties (including vendors)
• Perform interdisciplinary checks when the task is delegated to him or when acting as the Electrical team lead.
• Participate in technical and design review workshops as per project requirements
• Training and Development of less experienced engineers within the team as per the Electrical discipline plan.
• Perform other duties as may be directed by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8 to 13 years of Electrical design experience in oil and gas projects
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to design and construction of oil and gas production/processing facilities including and Client standards
• Broad knowledge of oil and gas facilities and project management
• Registered professional engineer.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in working with SKM, Etap, Aveva Electrical & Engineering and good computer literacy particularly in MS Office Suite
• Strong Problem Solving, Planning and organizing skills
• Good leadership skills
• Excellent understanding of Electrical power systems
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• A high level of autonomy and self-efficiency with attention to details
• Highly aware of safety in design.
