Job Title: Security Consultant (Nigerian Citizen)

Job Description

  • The Security Consultant under the direct and technical guidance of the PHI 360 Security Director, will work with the EPIC Activity leadership and support security operations covering the Northwest and North Central in Nigeria.
  • She/he will support other projects as directed to ensure that FHI360 programs, staff and assets remain safe and secure from threats.
  • She/he will support in development, implementation of safety & security strategy for EPIC Activity 4 and any other projects as directed.
  • She/he will also provide support to the Security Director on management of staff safety towards ensuring safe and secure program implementation.
  • She/he may be called to support other regions as necessary.
  • Provide daily & weekly security updates on incidents, trends and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for advising state coordinators/managers of the risks associated with staff working in complex and dynamic security environment. Liaise with other security actors in safe access to program areas.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Administration or related field.
  • Typically requires 8+ years of security experience in corporate or government organizations or military asset protection programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing security strategies, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff. Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO) At least five years' INGO or other Humanitarian security experience, preferably with a large (200+) operation, directly related to West Africa.
  • Extensive leadership, training, and supervisory experience Field work in "extreme-risk" zones.
