Job Title: Sales Manager

Location:
Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a Sales Manager, you shall be responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
Acquisition of New Business:
  • Generating opportunities to meet the company targets and following up on new leads and referrals
  • Achieve call targets and other product sales goals by finding new accounts, follow-up on prospects and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with Sales team to support the acquisition of new business relationships and the commercial development of the client base.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of business including sales call activity, lead follow up, account reviews, prospecting and performance for individual sales rep e.g personnel issues; competitive losses/wins; and personal/professional developmental opportunities.
  • Achieving sustainable profitability for the firm. This includes assessing relationships on the basis of satisfaction, risk, decision maker penetration, and expansion opportunities.
  • Continually partners with existing customers in order to fully understand their businesses, goals, strategies and challenges.
  • Proactively assesses the customer needs by finding out what information, products or services the customer requires for the purpose of formulating a business case and delivering an effective variety of services to help the customer exceed their business objectives.
Business Intelligence:
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
  • Providing innovative backup to Chief Marketing Officer on sales and marketing matters.
  • Assist and liaising with Sales & Marketing on New Products, Business Environment and Emergent Business.
People Management:
  • Perform key functions to recruit top-notch sales and relationship reps including interviewing, hiring, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling and coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed.
  • Conduct regular coaching of associates to build motivation and customer relation skills.
  • Responsible for training and orientation of new employees about Customer retention, identifying prospects, closing deals and Customer Management.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications
  • 5-7 Years of work experience in the same job role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in: Administration, Sciences, Engineering and Social Science related courses.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong understanding of customers and market dynamics and requirement
Other Qualifications:
  • Any relevant certificate applicable
