Job Description
- The ideal candidate will manage the CcHUB LAN infrastructure and oversee the technical arm of our exciting local community cloud wifi initiative (i-HQ) in Yaba.
- You will be expected to learn fast and have sufficient experience in deploying and managing IP infrastructure including but not limited to Merakis, UBNT and Cisco LAN/ WAN routers and switches.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the efficient implementation and optimisation of internet networks in order to make sure that they are functioning smoothly.
- Customizing the network to meet the necessary requirements of the company.
- Monitoring the network’s performance.
- Controlling user access to the network and, and configuring firewalls to secure the company’s network.
- Support, manage, and ensure operating capability of both the LAN and WAN.
- Ensuring hardware, software, and network upgrades, installs, re-installs, changes and relocations are efficiently completed as required.
- Troubleshooting computing systems, networks, and applications to identify malfunctions and correct them as well as other operational difficulties.
- Investigating, recommending and installing enhancements and operating procedures in order to properly regulate network availability.
- First point of contact with our internet service provider on technical issues
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field/ Commensurate technical experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good Knowledge of computing and computer network hardware, security systems software and peripheral equipment.
