Role Summary/Purpose:
  • Our resourcing teams are at the heart of our ability to attract and hire the very best talent available to drive our continued growth. As a result of our strategic recruitment planning, business focus and increasing regional growth we are seeking to hire Talent Acquisition Specialist into Nigeria to support all of our business verticals.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge base within and understanding of client groups and GE businesses to anticipate talent challenges.
  • Utilise business and HR plans to develop proactive candidate talent pipelines through sourcing channels including targeted recruitment campaigns, internet searches, networking groups, social media, database search, referrals and advertising.
  • Build and maintain communication with candidate pipeline and ensure continuous business and HR interaction with key talent.
  • Conduct thorough prescreening of candidates as required and provide detailed documentation and recommendations to the Recruitment team.
  • Deliver to defined SLAs and metrics.
  • Share sourcing best practices with recruitment team.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years relevant candidate sourcing and attraction experience across multiple industries.
  • Strong telephone and face to face communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work autonomous handling a number of complex tasks and recruitment projects at the same time.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized and structured.
  • Ability to provide vision, innovation and thought leadership within recruitment team environment to drive improved performance, recruitment process and tools.
  • Ability to translate business strategy and talent planning into external talent pipelines.
  • Must be able to develop and implement complex sourcing strategies across multiple locations.
  • Expert in technology which supports the identification and attraction of candidates.
  • A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required.
  • Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria.
  • Expert in creative candidate sourcing techniques and channels to generate talent including networking, headhunting, market research and social media.
  • Excellent candidate management skills.
  • Ability to execute market mapping and competitor analysis projects.
  • Consultative and customer focused account management skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast paced, highly demanding and matrixed organization.
  • Track record of delivering high quality candidate shortlists on time and within budget in a high volume headhunting, agency, research or corporate recruitment environment.
  • Metric and SLA focused.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong screening, interviewing and assessment skills.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Desired Characteristics:
  • Familiarity with recruitment management systems, preferably Kenexa Brassring
  • Africa recruitment experience
  • Knowledge of local labour legislation and requirements
  • Ability to produce creative and attractive advertising copy
  • Project management skills
  • Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field
  • Change and project management experience
  • Good language skills; English plus French or Portuguese
