We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Director of Security

Location: Uburu, Ebonyi

The Position and Duties

• The University Director of Security, oversees the security apparatus of the University, and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day security matters of the University. He/She supervises all security outfits operating in the university and coordinates the overall security mechanism of the university.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess a good University Honours Degree (a Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
• He/She must also have at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience, and have received appropriate training and several years of relevant experience in the Police or Armed Forces of Nigeria, and would have attained the rank of at least Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent.
• Candidates must have the capacity for intelligence, crime management and security policing covering day and night shifts.

The Candidate
The Candidate for the position of the Director of Security:

• Must not be above 55 years of age at the time of appointment;
• Be a person of integrity and strong moral character with ability;
• Must be able to relate excellently well with staff, students and the general public;
• Must be physically and emotionally stable.

Conditions of Service

• The salary and other conditions of service, shall be as approved for the position in Nigerian Universities by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Governing Council of David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences, Uburu.
