We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Director of Works

Location: Uburu, Ebonyi

The Position and Duties

• The Director of Works is a senior management officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day civil, mechanical, electrical, and infrastructural facilities management and maintenance in the University.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess a Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical / Electronics Engineering or any other relevant Degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 2 Class Lower Division plus NYSC Discharge Certificate or evidence of Exemption (a Master’s Degree is an added advantage).
• The Candidate must possess professionally recognized Certificate with current practicing license and must be registered with Council for the Regulation of Engineering (COREN) or Architecture Regulation Council of Nigeria (ARCON) or Quantity Surveying Regulation Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) or Council for Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON).
• The Candidate must be computer literate with a working knowledge of relevant packages and must have 10 years cognate experience and has at least five (5) years of the relevant experience in a senior management position, preferably in a University.

The Candidate
The Candidate for the position of the Director of Security:

• Must not be above 55 years of age at the time of appointment;
• Be a person of integrity and strong moral character with ability;
• Must be able to relate excellently well with staff, students and the general public;
• Must be physically and emotionally stable.

Conditions of Service

• The salary and other conditions of service, shall be as approved for the position in Nigerian Universities by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Governing Council of David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences, Uburu.
