Job Title: UNIX / LINUS System Administrator

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that UNIX/Linux/Storage systems provide services as expected.
• Responsible for the administration and maintenance of all Unix, Linux, CENTOS systems and other flavours including but not limited to OSS and BSS Servers, Siebel Systems and storage- such as Billing, mediation, Charging Gateway, Fraud Management, etc.
• Adding and removing users
• Adding and removing hardware
• Adding and removing software
• Problem handling
• Backup of servers and systems
• User Access Administration and Security management
• Proper documentation of any changes.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• B.Sc / B.Eng. in Computer Science / Engineering, or Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Statistics, Management Information Systems or any Physical Sciences with a minimum of 2nd Class Upper.
• Minimum of 3 years IT working experience in server and/or storage environment, preferably in the Telecommunication industry.
• Able to write shell scripts/Programs and Filters to automate processes
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies Including storage
• Ability to troubleshoot and proffer solutions to system problems
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
