First Excelsia Professional Services Limited - Our client is a full boarding co-educational Christian School situated on the outskirts of Lagos educating children at key stages 3 and 4. We will be opening our doors in September 2022 to offer the British Curriculum emphasising core academic subjects, whilst providing the facilities, time and specialist staff to ensure students develop across a range of subjects.

We are recruiting talents to fill the position below in preparation for the commencement of the 2022/2023 academic session:

Job Title: Pastoral Lead

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• The role will be required to lead on pupil wellbeing and pastoral care with a primary focus on ensuring that the boarding experience of all students is enjoyable and memorable.
• This is an extremely rewarding, demanding and varied role that would also play an active part in the strategic planning, leadership and decision making for the Academy.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of leading pastoral care in a boarding school.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding policies and health and safety procedure.
• Positive relationship to support the child holistically.
• Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development.
• Ability to act as an effective and compelling ambassador for the school.
• Knowledge of the rapidly changing sector internationally
• A clean criminal record and no issues regarding suitability to work with children. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish constructive relationships with staff, parents and pupils.
