Placement Intern at Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev)

Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative is a non-profit organization founded in 2016. Tech4Dev was established to empower African communities with digital skills that will bridge the gap of unskilled labour needed for the future of work. We have over the years, implemented projects that inspire, advocate, and train people on basic digital skills, programming skills, and essential skills needed for the future of work. The African youth is inaptly engaged in low-quality jobs with low opportunities for sustainable development. As low-skilled jobs are lost to automation, it is critical that young people are equipped with the necessary skills to secure decent work.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Placement Intern

Location: Ogudu, Lagos
Employment Type: Internship

Duties

• Support securing internship placement for all beneficiaries on all programs
• Contact potential employers by telephone, written correspondence, and site visits to promote all Tech4Dev programs to identify and develop career positions related to full and part-time, paid internships, and other employment
• Assist to organize job assessment/interview preps and onboarding
• Assist with designing and executing internship partner engagement programs
• Maintain files of beneficiaries; conduct prescreening of beneficiaries to verify qualifications
• Supervise the receiving of internship offers from employers; match beneficiaries to jobs and maintain records of alumni/beneficiaries placed jobs
• Analyze available job market economic data and information
• Research job market trends and requirements for a variety of occupations
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or any other relevant field
• 1 year work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Critical thinking and Problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

Salary
N50,000 monthly.
