Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The job holder will be expected to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in this setting.
  • A vital deliverable for the role will be to effectively deliver the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that the interest and individual needs of children in the setting are catered for.
  • The EYFS Teacher will work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment for each child as well as build and maintain strong partnerships with parents to ensure children’s academic and developmental needs are met.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a University Degree (or its equivalent). A Bachelors Degree in Education will be a distinct advantage.
  • Nationally recognised teaching qualification (BEd, NCE, PGCE, PGDE).
  • Professional training on the EYFS Framework evidenced by a training certificate will be advantageous to candidates applying for this role.

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Ability to carry out assessments, keep records and produce reports and student portfolios.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and self-development.
  • revious experience working in line with published school policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Understanding and Expectations
Essential:

  • Knowledge of information relevant to Early Years such as EYFS, SEN, Safeguarding, Childcare Act 2006.
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders (parents, carers, families) to encourage partnership working.
  • Respect for diversity, as you will be working with students from a range of backgrounds.
  • A strong regard for pupil safety and well-being.
  • Knowledge of Child Development.

Desirable:

  • A willingness to keep up to date with educational policy and training related to your role.
  • High level of confidence in the use of technology.

Personal Qualities:

  • A noticeable passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively with parents.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A flexible approach to work, as you will be involved in a range of school-related activities such as cooking, art and science projects etc.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 Monthly gross.
