We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The key function of this role is to utilize financial and operational data to provide technical guidance to support business decisions and work collaboratively with other teams to streamline processes and to ensure all controlling and financial accounting functions comply with relevant Accounting Standards and Manual.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business transactions and articulately document outcome and impact in memorandum form
  • Create a new MIS / Management Reporting database and visualization strategy for the company
  • Develop a culture across the company focused on data visualization and rapid understanding of KPIs, trends and thresholds sense of urgency to address critical risks
  • Provide accurate and timely management information to assist with key decision making
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
  • Assisting in the Balance Sheet Review Process
  • Provide Ad hoc support on financial planning, change control and financial management processes when necessary
  • Works with management to obtain an understanding of processes and issues to be evaluated, gathers and presents data, and analysis necessary for management evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience required
  • Performance reporting experience a plus
  • Accounting qualification a plus.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • Sound financial analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of SQL and Macros
  • Ability to analyze complex reports
  • Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-finance staff
  • Organized and structured in daily duties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player and ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate business partnering.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
