Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: MD/CEO

Job Summary

  • Title holder will lead the overall HR functions including work- force planning, staff administration management, staff development, compensation and benefits etc.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions centered on employees across the different stores of the company.
  • Coordinating with the Store/Business Manager on managing issues of performance.
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed by the employees.
  • Managing employee records and payroll data for all employees.
  • Conducting orientation, training, and development programs for new hires.
  • Crafting job requirements and descriptions for all positions in the stores.
  • Oversee reference and background checks for new staff members.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the communication of information and update about the company to all employees.
  • Identifies staff needs about performance problems, and training options and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Work with heads of departments to design appropriate training and development programs for staff.
  • Address employee conflicts & grievances and complete investigations as required.
  • Ensure good working tools are provided to employees.
  • Coordinate the issue of Shift, Rota and Leave among the employees.
  • Document correspondence about promotion, redeployment, disciplinary action, etc. in employee’s file.
  • Any other responsibility assigned to you by the MD.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • BSc. in Industrial Relations / Human Resources Management or related courses.
  • Must have at least a professional certificate.
  • Must have minimum of 7 years experience as HR Generalist in a well-structured environment.

Technical and Behavioural Skills:

  • Oriented and result driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
