Key
Responsibilities
  • To create and/or identify new opportunities for Oracle’s Enterprise and Cloud Management solutions.
  • To qualify and progress all Enterprise and Cloud Management opportunities as discovered by the prime sales organization. X-lob.
  • To support and educate local Oracle sales teams, customers and partners on the value propositions for Oracle's Enterprise and Cloud Management solutions.
  • To present and demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's Enterprise and Cloud Management solutions
  • To build and maintain relevant relationships with the customer and all different Oracle sales teams.
  • To build and maintain a good working relationship with Oracle's key sales and implementation partners in the area of Enterprise and Cloud Management.
  • Work closely with the local Sales Consulting teams to ensure maximum support for the products.
  • Work closely with the local Oracle marketing organization to ensure appropriate attention for Oracle's Enterprise and Cloud Management solutions.

The key capabilities of Enterprise Manager include:
  • A complete cloud lifecycle management solution allowing you to quickly set up, manage, support and optimize enterprise clouds and traditional Oracle IT environments from applications to disk.

  • The Manageability co-prime sales team is a unique X-lob sales organization that is specialized in sales of Oracle's Enterprise Manager solutions. These management solutions span all layers of the Oracle stack, ranging from Applications, Database and Middleware to Systems.
  • The team is responsible for the creation and execution of its own business as well as being involved in all major transformational deals where customers are further standardizing on Oracle as a (full) stack supplier. This team is also the key organization within Oracle, focused on all (private) cloud transactions.
  • This person should have a strong background in the IT systems management space. The experience should span across all IT management concepts, ranging from traditional IT systems management deployments to cloud based IT self-service. The person should have a thorough understanding of Application deployment and management issues as well have a good understanding of the Application Life Cycle concept. Why and how Applications are being monitored and managed.
  • This combined with experience in the area of Software Development Life Cycle Management and Quality Assurance, where all stages of testing and optimization are considered. Existing knowledge or experience with Oracle and non-Oracle Applications is a plus. This person should also be familiar with all modern day deployment architectures.
  • Furthermore this person needs to be self proficient. This person should actively engage with the sales team in other LOBs to get these products positioned and be able to work directly with customers on identifying and closing opportunities.
Key Attributes and Skills:
  • Self motivated sales person with at least 3-5 years of relevant software sales experience
  • Experience in the area of IT systems management or Cloud Management is a plus
  • Motivated by Hunting rather than Farming. Actively seeking new opportunities rather than exploiting existing business.
  • Ability to apply multi-level sales techniques.
  • Proven ability and experience to work in a cross lob organization

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
  • Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).
  • Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
  • Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues.
  • Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
