Product Manager at Duplo

Duplo is a Lagos-based fintech startup that enables businesses in Africa to digitize their receivables and payables, reduce time-to-cash, lower transaction costs, and generate more revenue from their business customers.

We want to make B2B payments as simple as P2P payment apps. Most business payments in Africa are made offline - yikes. We are on a mission to transform this. We are backed by top investors including Liquid2 Ventures, My Asia VC, Soma Capital, YCombintaor, Oui Capital, and others.

Job Brief

• This is a unique opportunity. You'll have the responsibility and resources to take a significant part in the creation of a paradigm-changing product that will impact millions.

What You Will Do? 

• Our ideal Product Manager has led large-scale platforms, has extreme attention to detail, concisely communicates complex concepts, and is equally excited about 99.9999% reliability and financial correctness as well as beautiful product UX and API design.
• At Duplo, you’ll help build innovative payments products for our customers. You’d be joining a small but growing team of experienced Product Managers who have a track record of successfully building large-scale business and consumer products.
• You’ll work closely with our engineers, designers, Strategy, and Operations.
• Help set an ambitious roadmap for product development and expansion
• Work closely with our customers, product teams, and cross-functional partners to build a comprehensive and frictionless experience for our users
• Discover net new parts of our business and lead them from nascent stages to maturity.

Requirements
You may be a fit if:

• A Computer Science, Math, or Science Degree or software engineering experience, 
• Experience working on large-scale platforms or infrastructure. 
• You’re a creative product thinker who loves collaborating across the company with engineering, analytics, marketing, design and sales 
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems 
• You do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration.
• Beyond just shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement and can optimize for shipping a portfolio of small, medium, and large releases.
• You’ve ever started or run a business before.
