Job Title: Associate Manager, Application Services
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Manage staff, implementation teams, and workgroups to communicate and monitor system requirements and technical issues.
- Provide technical, financial and business expertise and guidance in the development, modification, and system integration of complex business systems and subsystems
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving and further leveraging these systems.
- Identify and navigate potential issues in order to meet deadlines and schedules
- Work with people, processes and technology workstreams to deliver client-relevant services in the Technology Consulting area.
- Manage budgets, time and quality of output on assigned projects
- Manage expectations of Client Sponsors, Champions and Stakeholders on delivery efforts
- Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate
- Identify training needs and tools and work with supervisor to execute
- Lend expertise to internal teams and tasks
- Performs other related tasks assigned by Supervisor
- Have a good understanding of/be able to supervise subordinate roles
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Sciences, Management, Engineering or other courses but with relevant experience in IT
- 5 or more years post qualification relevant experience in IT
- Previous experience in a reputable consulting, leading IT company or IT function of a blue-chip company
- Master's degree will be an added advantage
- Certifications in solution area of expertise (Cloud certifications would be added advantage).
- Other technical/professional certifications e.g. ITIL, PMP, Prince 2, etc.
- Demonstrable achievements in landmark projects
- Good project management and leadership skills
- Good understanding of NEW IT technologies (e.g. such as cloud, digital and automation technologies)
- Good understanding of integration technologies
Skills / Competencies:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good risk and Issue management skills
- Good client relationship management
- Good negotiation skills
- Anticipates client needs and proposes alternative technical solutions
- Determine new, creative ways to employ teams on projects and assign responsibilities
- Expertise in more than one of Core Banking Solutions, Backoffice ERP Solutions (Cloud/On premise), Customer Relationship Management, Payment Solutions, Public cloud computing platforms
- Experience within any of our target industries
- Relationship network within our target industries
- Ability to monitor/assessing performance of self, other individuals to make improvements or take corrective action
- Recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation.
- Good usage of MS Office tools
