Job Title: Marine Operations Engineer

Job Description

• The Marine Operations Manager who will oversee the operations, logistics and transition of cargo between the company’s vessel and the appropriate port infrastructures.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be predominantly responsible for:

• Overall dealing with Government bodies within West African port.
• Ensure all commercial, technical and operational compliances are fulfilled and reported.
• Primary terminal interface with Nigerian Ports Authority, Customs and Coast Guards, NIMASA , Port Health (other security agencies) and ensure that the company is rightly presented
• Effective coordination of arrival and departure schedule of our vessel.
• Supervision of all ship to shore operations
• Management of agencies, port authorities and jetty costs.
• Oversight of discharge and loading operations.

Essential Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 1 - 2 years work experience.
• The ability to handle a broad scope of operations at any given time
• The ability to manage multiple channels of communication at any given time
• The ability to communicate efficiently within a multicultural environment
• Possess professional certifications in logistics and supply chain management
• Advanced knowledge on the workings of Government Regulatory Agencies in the Oil and Gas Sector such as DPR, NNPC, NIPEX, NCMBD etc.
• Working knowledge of port operations
• Versed in interactions with port Regulatory Agencies especially NIMASA, NPA, Custom, Port Health etc.
• Knowledge on vessel technical operations and management.
• Experience in vendor Relationship Management, Tendering, RFI RFQ and general contract Management.
• Excellent documentation and management of international trade such as Proforma, BL, SONCAP, NAFDAC, NXP etc.
• Good knowledge of movement of materials and personnel to and from onshore – offshore
• Good in meeting contract timelines and expedition.
