Job Description

• We are looking to hire an innovative and experienced Retail Store Supervisor.
• The core responsibility of the successful candidate will be to oversee the smooth running of all store operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail staff working on the floor
• Formulate pricing policies & ensure pricing is correct
• Lead promotional initiatives and activities
• Work on store displays and ensure merchandise is clean and ready to be displayed
• Attend trade shows and carry out market surveys to identify new products and services
• Coach and counsel employees
• Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers in order to constantly improve the general customer experience
• Carry out the inventory and ensure items are in stock
• Keep up with fluctuating supply and demand
• Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and planning
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met
• Maintain store cleanliness and health and safety measures.
• Organize and distribute staff schedules.
• Preside over staff meetings
• Help retail sales staff achieve sales targets
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Prepare activity / sales reports

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications and work experience.
• Proven work experience as a supervisor or manager in a supermarket
• Must be computer literate and have an understanding of retail pos software / systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with no supervision
• Good attention to detail
• Proven knowledge of retail services
