A reputable Law firm situated and based in Abuja, FCT is recruiting dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join her legal team in the postion below:

Job Title: Legal Associate

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients in courts, arbitration and negotiation proceedings.
• Provide well researched legal opinion ensuring legal risks are appropriately identified and resolved.
• Conduct search at AGIS, Land Registry, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other government parastatals.
• Conduct research and analyse legal issues.
• Engage in client counselling and client management.
• Prepare and file court processes, such as Motions, Writs, Election Petitions etc
• Draft and review legal documents, including Contracts, MOUs, Wills, etc
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, and others involved in the case.

Role Specification

• First Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution and BL from the Nigerian Law School.
• Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience as a Legal Practitioner.
• A Master’s Degree(s) or relevant professional qualification(s) would be an added advantage.

Required Competencies:

• Knowledge of Laws, the Nigerian legal system and Legal document drafting
• Good Communication skills (oral and written),
• Use of MS Word and computer literacy is required.
• Good use of Library index and e-library (legalpaedia, Law Pavilion etc).
