ICT Support Technician at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ICT Support Technician

Ref: STS2022–003
Location: Abuja
Recruitment Type: STS-National (6-months renewable contract)

Duties

• Carry out installation, upgrade, and maintenance of internet peripherals.
• Assist in installations of computer systems, staff emails, set up photocopiers and digital cameras.
• Assist in troubleshooting of systems and mobile systems.
• Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing a similar or related role in a well-structured organization

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must have:

• Ability to troubleshoot ICT equipment problems and repairs accordingly.
• Considerable knowledge of networking, and good knowledge of software installation and maintenance.
• Ability to attend to ICT issues in the board room, conference room and/or halls both on and outstation, guest house and the use of all ICT equipment.
