Job Title: General Manager / Sales Director
Location: Lagos
Report to: the Managing Director / CEO.
Job Brief
- The GM/Sales Director will be responsible for sales across the company creating high-performing sales teams.
- S/He, with an understanding of market trends, will manage the sales teams across the divisions of the Company to deliver the sales, market share and customer experience goals of the various divisions as a whole.
Job Description
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the achievement of the sales targets of the various business divisions.
- Drive the overall customer acquisition and revenue growth aspirations of the group across the divisions.
- Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executive management is informed on the progress of those goals.
- Build and maintain long-lasting strategic customer & market relationships, partnering with them to better understand their needs and how to deliver optimal value.
- Lead market research across critical factors, understand industry-specific trends and landscapes and use them to drive business success & operational efficiency.
- Effectively communicate the Company’s value propositions to all stakeholders.
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
- Lead the sales teams to developing and implementing sales plans that increase profit.
- Work with HR and Divisional Heads to direct training and development efforts required to equip the sales teams with the knowledgeable and competence they require to deliver in their roles.
- Inspire teams to achieve strategic goals through regular communications and other forms of team engagement.
- Manage the performance of the sales teams ensuring that teams are clear on periodic objectives and adequately resources to perform assigned tasks and duties.
- Develop exceptional sales leaders across the Company.
- Work with HR & DHs to find and hire top sales talent.
- Drive the engagement of performance management and other organization-wide formal events by sales teams
- Provide guidance to sales representatives in their assigned duties.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration, Management, or related field.
- MBA/ Masters in Business related course is an added advantage.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ Cognate Experience.
- Proven Sales Track Record with high value transactions and High Net worth Individuals (HNIs)
- Proven Track Record of New Business Development & Leadership
- People Leadership & Performance Management financial statements, audits and other documentation presented in a proposal or in support of an award.
