Job Title: Account / Operations Representative

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• You should have a firm grasp of accounting, risk, financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer, verbal and written communication skills.
• You must be honest, professional, and analytical with excellent presentation skills and the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Experience with tax laws and procedures
• Compute taxes and prepare tax reports
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Compile, analyze, and report financial data
• Create periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Compute taxes and preparing budgets and financial forecasts
• Stay informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
• Analyzing business plans
• Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
• Generating financial reports that display the profits, equity and cash flow
• Make recommendations to reduce risk, including diversification, portfolio investment and currency exchanges
• Calculate the risk of decisions
• Evaluate business and finance records and determine the level of risk
• Create reports and anticipate the losses of certain business decisions
• Conduct research into potential investments and understand the risks of accepting each one
• Identify economic and financial trends that may present a risk to the company
• Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision.

Qualifications

• A good Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
• Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), accounting software and Social Media web platforms.
• ICAN / ACCA Certification is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
