Job Objectives
- Ideal candidates will be responsible managing tax reporting and compliance, tax planning in preparation for future filings within the organization.
- Ensures tax returns are complete and accurate to minimize tax obligations.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure a company's annual earnings, expenditures and investments are reported with accuracy and completeness.
- Plan and prepare state and federal returns for companies.
- Interpret tax codes.
- Advise the company on tax related issues.
- Audit Internal controls for accuracy.
- Research and develop tax saving strategies.
- Manage, develop, and mentor staff/managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-8 years experience working in the field of taxation preferably in an accounting firm or any relevant tax authority with relevant Tax Management experience.
- Sound knowledge of the Nigerian tax laws and IFRS
- B.Sc. in Finance or Accounting.
- Master's degree in Taxation, Finance or Economics preferred.
