We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Urban and Regional Planner

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations to determine factors affecting community development and potential decline including land usage.
• Plan and design townships and cities promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
• Meet with public officials, developers, and the public regarding development plans and land use.
• Gather and analyze economic and environmental studies, censuses, and market research data.
• Conduct field investigations to analyze factors affecting land use.
• Review site plans submitted by developers.
• Prepare town plans and studies.
• Planning the design and construction of new urban infrastructures.
• Assisting in the management of a city’s current infrastructure and urban resources.
• Designing and adapting city plans for population growth and development.
• Prepare site approval documents
• Assess the feasibility of proposals and identify needed changes.
• Present projects to planning officials and planning commissions.
• Stay current on zoning or building codes, environmental regulations, and other legal issues.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Ability to analyze demographic data.
• Experience working in various database software programs including Microsoft Suite, Autocad etc.
• Exceptional communication skills used when meeting with officials and presenting new plans.
• Detailed understanding of federal and local government programs and processes.
• Experience utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) software.
• Ability to conceptualize large-scale plans and established required milestones to complete projects.
• Professional work experience using a combination of creative and technical concepts in problem-solving.
• Full-scale understanding of the social and environmental effects of proposed plans and the best practices in design aesthetics.
• Close proximity to Ikorodu or Ibeju Lekki is an added advantage.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 monthly.
