Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

Location: Snake Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • Oversee the running of the operations of the restaurant, provide customers with a first class banquet experience including controlling the cost and quality of services, preparing the venue, and coordinating the service of meals. Implement measure to minimize costs and improve profitability. Ensure that customers receive a level of service that exceeds expectations by addressing customers complaint and queries in a swift and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Managing food and beverages operations within budget and to the highest standard.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all food and drinks are of the highest quality.
  • Comply with food and safety regulations
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Design attractive menus
  • Identify customer’s needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.
  • Leading food and beverages team by training, overseeing and managing their performances.
  • Planning the venue layout according to the number of guests and the type of event.
  • Determining the number of table waiters and servers required.
  • Supervising the placement of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, serving and utensils.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef regarding the timing of meal courses to be served.
  • Overseeing the seating of guests, the serving of meals and beverages, and the clearing of tables.
  • Managing the availability of liquor and soft drinks, when required.
  • Preparing work schedules and completing documentation in a timely manner.
  • Answering customer’s questions and accommodating special requests.
  • Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to wait staff.
  • Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
  • Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
  • Generating reports to management on sales results and productivity.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • HND / BSc in any field of study.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience obtained in a five - star Hospitality setting.
  • Certification in Food and Beverage Management.

  • Proficiency in using Hospitality software.

Salary

  • 2,160,000 Naira / Annum
