Job Title: Graphic Artist
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
- Plans concept by studying information and materials.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
- Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and website.
- Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size.
- Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
- Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
- Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures.
- Develop the layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications.
- Select colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout.
- Select the size and arrangement of the different elements.
- Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
- Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project.
- Develop material for web pages.
- Design logos for products and businesses.
- Develop signs and environmental graphics.
Qualifications/Requirements
- An exceptional and practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw etc.
- A minimum of OND.
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Exceptional skills with creative graphics and photo manipulation.
- Not more than 29 years old.
- Ability to think creatively (inside-the-box and outside-the-box).
- Good knowledge of branding.
- Good communication skill.
- Attach at least 5 of past works showing creative/3D Graphics and Photo Manipulation).
