Job Title: Settlements Specialist

Job Objective

• The Entry Level, Merchant Settlement Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the merchants and clients files are prepared/reviewed / transmitted for fund movement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist to ensure that settlement is done and reports delivered to recipient for funds movement (MANUAL) within four hours upon receipt of settlement files from the Clearing team.
• Assist to ensure that settlement is done and reports delivered to recipients for funds movement (VAS AUTO) within one hour upon receipt of settlement files from the Clearing team.
• Assist to ensure Banks receive their daily settlement reports (Manual) within six hours upon receipt of settlement files from the Clearing team.
• Ensure Banks hourly settlement reports are checked for accuracy within six hours of the receipt of reports by the Clearing team.
• Prepares Dollar merchant reports and dropped for the Account team for onward fund movement by 2:00pm on
• Fridays upon prompt receipt of the settlement files from the Clearing team. Exceptions are to be documented.
• Resolves Customer Issues Resolution: This is to ensure that Merchants/banks settlement issues or complaints are timely and amicably resolved daily.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of 2:2 / Lower credit in Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics and settlements / reconciliation experience from a shopping mall.
