Job Title: E&I Designer
Location: Lagos

Reports to: Engineering Manager
Purpose
- Provide E&I specific design and drafting services to Nigerdock and its customers, provide technical support and supervision within the electrical team, and if required, assist junior personnel.
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver instrumentation specific design and drafting services that meet Nigerdock, the customer's and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Perform design and drafting assignments on projects while meeting project requirements on time and within budget.
- Perform E&I specific design and drafting services such as:
- identify and report changes to project scope;
- prepare engineering drawings and documentation;
- check drawings and documents in accordance with Nigerdock checking procedures; and
- participate in project reviews as required.
- Provide technical support and assistance within the E&I team and liaise with the project team.
- As required, assist and support junior personnel within the E&I team.
- Communicate effectively with the E&I team and project stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships within Nigerdock.
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
Other Duties:
- Any other reasonable duties within the capability of the candidate's knowledge domain.
Requirements
- Technical and Industry Experience
- Effective technical and practical instrumentation design and drafting skills ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Nigerdock and its clients.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Competent skills in design software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Required
- ACAD 2013 and CadWorx
- SPI experience is a plus
