We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Director - Systems Engineering (Africa Region)

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
What you will be doing:

  • Director of Systems Engineering, Africa region will be empowered to manage all technical activities with multiple customers in Africa Region.
  • The leader will work with global SE teams, engineering, product management, Accounts and Project managers to design, implement and support Parallel Wireless solution.

Key Job Functions

  • Lead technical discussions with the customer including network implementation, performance, features, dimensioning and capacity analysis during integration, deployment, and support phase.
  • Understand Customer infrastructures, their needs and provide expertise and consulting solutions.
  • Author and present customer-facing presentations and written technical materials.
  • Execute strategic plans to achieve operational targets and business objectives through managing and coordinating the overall Radio Access Network with the design team.
  • Develop RAN metrics and KPIs and work to adhere to those metrics.
  • Manage and lead and mentor regional systems engineering team responsible for;
    • Solution integration
    • ATP Execution
    • Software upgrades
  • Second and third-tier support to Operations to resolve network issues.
  • Manage schedule of local system engineers to ensure on time delivery of the assigned project by collaborating with local PM and Accounts team.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's (B.S) or Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Engineering; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Experience:

  • Understand End-to-End Wireless Network Architecture. Knowledge 3GPP and ORAN standards and virtualization and container-based network deployments.
  • Minimum of 15 years Engineering experience in Telcom industry
  • Customer-facing experience and negotiations skills
  • Wide knowledge of the products and best practice solutions
  • Experience in large project integration and delivery and management
  • Ability to Travel across Africa region.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage parallel time-critical tasks
  • Ability to work and lead in a highly matrixed organization within a collaborative environment.
  • Strong background building internal relationships across functions to ensure a success.
