Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Nigeria
Role
- Drive commercial and operational strategies to significantly grow the business;
- Lead business development and growth;
- Establish high quality relationships with international shipping agencies and port operators;
- Position the Company to attract international business;
- Ensure that the Company’s commercial objectives are met and exceeded;
- Successfully use resources and expertise across the Company to respond to client’s needs; and
- Champion the development of appropriate systems and structures companywide.
Requirement
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior management position in maritime operations;
- Must have current and established relationship with top management staff of major international shipping tines and agents;
- Proven skills in business and financial management;
- Working knowledge of government regulations and operational issues regarding maritime activities;
- Strong business development background;
- Ability to manage in a competitive environment;
- Ability to set appropriate targets and be able to surpass it;
- Must be versatile in import and export air & sea operation, terminal operation & logistics.
- Possession of advanced degree would be added advantage.
- Applicants must also be familiar with MS Office automation tools, and enterprise solution packages relevant to their various roles
