With businesses that include bonded terminal operations; clearing and forwarding; shipping and freight services; haul and warehouses all across Nigeria, our client seeks to hire competent and experienced personnel to fill the vacant position of:
Job Title: General Manager, Operation
Location: Nigeria
Role
- Manage Company’s terminals and warehouses located in major Nigerian cities; Grow the Company’s various businesses including shipping: clearing and forwarding: as well as haulage services;
- Manage company’s resources efficiently and effectively to achieve business objectives
- Ensure that management decisions are implemented in a timely manner; and
- Lead the organization to determine and meet business objectives in both the short, medium and long terms.
Requirement
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior executive position in maritime operations; Practical knowledge and deep experience of all aspects of shipping services stated above
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proven business development and growth expertise; and
- Must be able to deploy office automation tools to great effect in achieving results
- Ability to set appropriate targets and be able to surpass it
- Must be versatile in import and export, air & sea operation, terminal operation & logistics
- Possession of advanced degrees would be added advantage.
- Applicants must also be familiar with MS Office automation tools, and enterprise solution packages relevant to their various roles
