Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Nigeria
Role
- Organize the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel;
- Devise and manage transportation schedules arid receive orders and bookings;
- Ensure goods are transported in good condition;
- Introduce and maintain quality control procedures;
- Supervise incoming and outgoing containers at the terminals;
- Optimize the transport and logistics capacities of the company;
- Read weight, capacity and tonnage, etc.
- Proper usage of right equipment for heavy luggage.
Requirement
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience at management level;
- Good leadership and communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Conversant with logistics software;
- Focused and organized.
- Ability to use the right modules for specialized weight, tons and dimensions.
- Good knowledge of mechanical engineering & transport logistics.
- Possession of advanced degrees would be added advantage.
- Applicants must also be familiar with MS Office automation tools, and enterprise solution packages relevant to their various roles
