Job Title: AgriBusiness Strategy Manager

Location: Lagos
Industry: FMCG / Foods / Beverage

Job Objective

  • Develop and align operational processes and procedures to overall Business strategy in existing and emerging new businesses to deliver business mandates.
  • Provide key indices around service delivery capabilities to properly position the Company for strategic direction, rolling plan, future planning and to fundamentally change the systems, processes, and technology across business units.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Division Dairy & Forage to carry out research, provide business information/intelligence, design and collaborate to lead organizational change efforts using change management principles, processes, and tools to focus on driving financial and operational results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful management of corporate-wide business transformation projects to budget, time limits and objectives.
  • Produce a business development report on a periodic basis that affords the organization the opportunity of aligning its strategic objectives with the prevailing business realities and assumptions.
  • Work with Strategy & Planning Lead to break down overall corporate strategy into specific and achievable tasks and constantly evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes to attain a set goal.
  • Develop and implement an Enterprise Analysis report that captures the key contributions of each business driver / strategic business unit to overall corporate performance and the relevant improvements required.
  • Document desired organizational change and specific measures from strategic direction and ensures that such measures are linked to defined business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement process with the implementation of business reengineering activities aimed at improving business efficiency.
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure IDL maximizes its short, medium, and long-term business objectives.
  • Develop, review, and implement business process reengineering, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by team members and liaise with other functional heads/business leads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Model and redesign business processes and operational workflow keeping track of where cost can be better optimized along with the workflow.
  • Ensure projected cost savings are tracked, captured, validated and efficiently applied to attain the business goals of the company.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic improvement implementation and coordinate with departments/units to ensure adequate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction.
  • Provide the management team with a monthly corporate performance report that captures the achievement of business objectives against agreed targets.
  • Document desired organizational change and specific measures from strategic direction and ensures that such measures are linked to defined business goals.
  • Ensure all operational processes are clearly defined, authenticated, and recorded.
  • Design and implement a monthly process audit/measurement and reporting system using appropriate KPIs and dashboard.

Requirements

  • PhD, M.Sc and B.Sc in Business Administration or related fields
  • Experience and certification in Agronomy and Animal Husbandry is an added advantage
  • At least 7 years experience in Management
