PharmAccess Foundation is a nonprofit international organisation dedicated to affordable access to quality health care in Africa. The expertise within PharmAccess includes health insurance, healthcare quality, healthcare financing, HIV/AIDS corporate programs, mobile health and healthcare infrastructure. In Nigeria, PharmAccess Health Insurance supports the design and implementation of the Kwara State Community Health Insurance Scheme and the Ogun State Community Health Insurance Scheme (CBHIS), the latter as part of the African Health Markets for Equity (AHME) program.

To provide strategic support to the Kwara State and Ogun State CBHIS and their implementing partners. PharmAccess is looking for experienced professionals for the vacant position of:

Job Title: Marketing Officer

Job Description

As Marketing Officer Kwara, you will be responsible to:
  • Support program partners in the development, implementation and review of marketing and sales plans for the Kwara State Community Health Insurance Scheme
  • Conduct marketing research, analysis and in-field monitoring
  • Support marketing and sales trainings and workshops
  • Evaluate and discuss the effectiveness of implemented marketing strategies, and review, analyse and provide feedback on marketing plans, reports and dashboards
  • Assess client experiences and provide recommendations to program partners on refinements of strategies and tools.
  • In this position, you will report functionally to the Program Manager based in Kwara with technical supervision from the Marketing Manager based in Lagos.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing or an equivalent, preferably complemented with education in areas as marketing research, marketing analysis, communications or media planning, and business administration
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience of consumer marketing. Experience with marketing in the low-income sector of Nigeria is an advantage.
  • Experience in conducting marketing research (e.g. surveys, group discussions), marketing analysis, developing enrollment (i.e. sales and retention) projections and setting targets
  • Experience in creating marketing strategy and implementation plans, annual marketing budgets, managing marketing activities and monitoring and evaluating marketing outcomes
  • Fluent in oral and written Yoruba will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Be prepared to travel and work in underserved communities in Kwara State

  • Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively interact in an environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Candidates need to be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently and with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability and willing to work in a dynamic, informal and results-oriented organization
