Job Overview

• The candidate will work with the Project Manager and ensure proper reporting for a major project(s) while providing planning, monitoring, evaluation and control support as necessary.

Job Description

• Write or generate project reports while ensuring that project reporting objectives are achieved.
• Create and maintain appropriate dashboards for timely and accurate updates/status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop appropriate templates/formats for delivering project reports as required by project teams.
• Ensure project reports are comprehensive and delivered with consistency and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all reports to the client (including contractor’s reports) meet established standards and requirements.
• Gather, analyse and organise technical information from the field and, when necessary, carry out site inspections.
• Ensure integrity of project data and compliance with project documentation guidelines.
• Assist with development and implementation of project plans and schedules.
• Track project schedules to identify deviations and associated root causes.
• Participate in regular planning and review sessions
• Identify and escalate risks and issues on the project and provide recommendations for Management attention.
• Ensure that change impacts are well integrated into plans.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision making always regarding company’s resources and adhere to code of conduct, policies and procedures.
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the field area of responsibility
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related fields.
• 10+ years of proven planning and reporting experience.
• Possession of engineering licence (COREN).
• Hands on experience in Primavera, MS Project, Power BI, MS Office, BIM 360.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management. PMP certification is an added advantage.
• Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret project documents, including but not limited to designs.
• Experience working on major construction projects (especially road/rail) is an added advantage.
• Experience working with engineering consulting firms is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of project reporting standards and appropriate templates for project planning, monitoring, evaluation and control.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work from other locations in response to project needs.
