We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Shani, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The cleaner works under the guidance and supervision of the human resource and administrative assistant
  • S/he is responsible for the cleaning of international Medical Corps office, Guesthouse and its premises.

Main Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of the office and its premises
  • Daily sweeps, mops, dust (Including curtain areas, air conditioners, frames, cupboards etc.) and arrange the office for daily use and official duties of IMC Staff and visitors
  • Replenishment of water and washing of the water dispensing equipment and office refrigerator.
  • Emptying of the waste paper baskets in the office and toilets.
  • Removal of cobwebs.
  • Washing of curtains as designated.
  • Daily washing of office toilets and bathrooms.
  • Replenishment of sanitary items such as handwashing materials, tissue papers, air freshener and other sanitary items in the office premises.
  • Watering and trimming of flowers in the office premises as at when due
  • Disposal of trash
  • Inform supervisor on time of low stock levels of sanitary items/work tools
  • Washing of expatriates’ clothes.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Secondary qualification
  • One year Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible
  • Good knowledge of Local context and preferably residing in the position location.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse:

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps.
  • As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
