Job Description

• The Transport Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring all transporters and transport related activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the dispatch operations within the business area
• Responsible for managing the transporters and fleet under the trucking strategy scheme
• Responsible for monitoring the deliveries of the Products on the date and within the delivery window or within the Journey management plan for the route
• Ensures dedicated transporters on all occasions provide accurate details of truck whereabouts and activities per trip for payment purposes and validation.
• Leads investigation and resolution of issues surrounding delays, customer and transporter complaints across the Regions
• Ensure the transport Unit operational expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
• Manages the Back Office team to ensure they meet business SLA
• Manages and executes supply chain and transport related projects.

Qualifications

• First Degree in a Business related course
• Minimum of 5 years management experience in Supply Chain or Logistics
• Experience managing teams and external vendors is mandatory.
