Job Title: Trade Accountant

Job Summary

• Our client is looking to take on a Trade Accountant in their Lagos office. The organisation takes pride in the service they give their customers and how they treat their staff.

As a Trade Accountant your key responsibilities will be:

• Daily liaison with front office traders in all outlets to understand risks and ensure accurate P&L reporting
• Key point of contact for front office traders to resolve any queries
• Daily pricing of variable trades
• Review new trades against existing trade contracts
• Month End P&L reporting including commentaries
• Presentation of monthly P&L to senior management
• Monthly reporting of new physical trades
• Profitability analysis
• Monthly balance sheet review
• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Support external auditors at year end.

Requirements

• To be considered for this role you will have at least 2-4 years’ experience in a Trade Accountant position.
• You will be a fully qualified accountant (ICAN), or equivalent, and have a University Degree or HND in Accounting.
