7Eleven Consultancy services is a company that runs a full HR services but in a consulting role. Such services are recruitment, organisation development, payroll management, training etc. We are recruiting on behalf of our client who runs an NGO with presence in 7 states in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior M & E Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Help revise the project log frame matrix, particularly in the objective hierarchy, indicator and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Help develop AWPB
  • Develop the overall framework for project M & E, for example, annual project reviews, participatory impact assessments, process monitoring, operations monitoring and lessons-learned workshops.
  • Guide the process for identifying and designing the key indicators for each component, to record and report physical progress against the AWPB. Also steer the process for designing the format for such progress reports.
  • Clarify the core information needs of the project management, donors and partners.
  • Based on the review of existing data, draw up the TOR for design and cost out a baseline survey or a needs assessment survey.
  • Develop a plan for project related capacity building on M & E and for any computer based support that may be required.
  • Based on the AWPB and in particular the program budgets, design the frame work for the physical and process monitoring of project activities.
  • Guide project staff in preparing progress reports, together, analyze these reports in terms of problems and actions needed.
  • Prepare consolidated progress reports for project to submit to donors in accordance with approved reporting formats and timing.
  • In collaboration with the Program Accountant, provide the Executive Director with management information that she/he may require.
  • Ensure that health programs utilize standardize protocols, policies and guidelines as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization especially on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
  • Undertake visits to the field to support implementation of M & E and to identify where adaptations might be needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Social and Management Sciences
  • 3-6 years’ experience in Monitoring & Evaluation

Specific Requirements:

  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, state and communities.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Access, SPSS and Epidata.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities and work independently as well as being a part of a team
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work in unstable security, harsh living and working environments.
  • Conversant with basic data management tools; monitoring and evaluation skills.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
