We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• In this role, you will be responsible for Processing and Preparation of financial statement, Management Account Payables, Taxes, Cash Management and Reconciliations, Budgeting, Fixed Asset month end/Year end Accounting closures

Responsibilities

• Prepare Asset, Liability and Capital accounts entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document Financial transaction by entering all accounting information.
• Carry out Financial audit of all transactions Regular update of financial information on the database.
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating their activities and inquiries. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions.
• Produce error – free financial results and reporting.
• Provide technical support and advice to management on financial issues. Support month - end and year - end financial closing process.
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues. Provide input into department's goal setting process.
• Comply with company’s financial and other policy and procedures. Take up other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc in Accounting or related field Possession of professional qualification e.g. ACCA, ACA.
• 5 - 7 years experience in similar role

Skills and Competences:

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, principles and conventions. Aptitude for numbers and high quantitative skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards e.g. IFRS Excellent accounting software user and administration skills(SAP will be an added advantage)
• Team player that can work with other team members in the General Management of the Accounting of the company Professional, responsible, with an attitude that is service minded, positive and team oriented.
• Problem Analysis and Problem-Solving Skills.
