FITC Nigeria - was established in 1981 as a non profit organisation limited by guarantee, based on the Company's Act of 1968, in response to the recommendations of the Pius Okigbo Committee set-up by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the Nigerian financial system. It is owned by the Banker's Committee, which comprises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, all licensed banks and discount houses in Nigeria.

Job Summary
  • The successful candidate will oversee all tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and management of the computer network to meet the needs of organization's strategic and administrative tasks.
  • S/he will ensure that the network is consistently available and operating effectively and employs the necessary back-up procedures.
Full Description
  • The successful candidate will oversee all tasks related to the installation, maintenance and management of the computer network to meet the needs of organization's strategic and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure that the network is consistently available and operating effectively and employs the necessary back-up procedures.
  • Manage the communications, workstations and servers of organisation's computer network.
  • Ensure that all software is licensed and updated to meet the needs of the organization
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify if computer programmes and systems have been misused
  • Develop queries and lead interdisciplinary teams for project-related activities inclusive of gathering user requirements.
  • Evaluate human or system solutions, convey business processes plus system requirements and record system issues.
  • Develop and execute system test plans as well as verify system improvements and fixes.
  • Coordinate all activities between IT, staff and various internal departments and outside agencies as well as vendors.
  • Serve as a resource to all internal departments to plan, develop and control information systems plus workplace automation.
Educational Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and/or a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or any related field Must have professional membership with relevant local and/or international associations such as: ICT certifications such as MSCE, CCNA, etc. Certifications in Programme/Project Management, Networking, Switching (e.g. CWNP, CISA, MCITP, MCTS, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, PMP) will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in ICT management including across-board knowledge of computer hardware, computer hardware, and project management Must have a good knowledge of local and international data protection laws and regulations.
