FITC Nigeria - was established in 1981 as a non profit organisation limited by guarantee, based on the Company's Act of 1968, in response to the recommendations of the Pius Okigbo Committee set-up by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the Nigerian financial system. It is owned by the Banker's Committee, which comprises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, all licensed banks and discount houses in Nigeria.

Our client, an Electricity distribution company in Nigeria, is looking for young, vibrant, and intelligent men and women to fill the available position below:

Job Title: Head, Corporate Strategy

Location: Kaduna

Job Summary
  • The successful candidate will design, develop, and drive the annual planning process across organization - defining the approach and high-level timelines for the organization.
  • S/he will equally lead the strategic planning process within organization.
Technical Requirements
  • The successful candidate will design, develop, and drive the annual planning process across organization - defining the approach and high-level timelines for the organization.

  • Oversee external research with insights used to formulate business strategies and to perform external and internal competitive analysis
  • Conduct scenario planning, organize and run the annual strategy meeting, coaching the executive team on strategic options.
Educational Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a first degree and a master's degree in any of the Humanities or Social Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or Economics from a recognized university.
  • He/she must have relevant local or international professional qualifications e.g. NISER, NES.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience to the job objectives with not less than 5 years in a senior management position.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers, with special emphasis on statistical data analysis tools such as SPSS, project management and power point presentation skills
  • Must have specialized experience in research with proven ability to administer, design and effectively maintain a research programme at an advanced level.
Behavioural Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will provide leadership and mentoring to technical teams; supporting collaboration and working across functional boundaries, and ensuring diverse talent and capability is mobilized across units within the organization.
  • S/he should be objective and fairly evaluate different aspects of a situation, and to make an ethical decision that takes into account all aspects and components; able to maintain balance between the needs of him/herself, others and the organisation at the same time.
  • S/he should be able to demonstrate broad grasp of business issues with a practical common sense approach to problem solving; demonstrates result-oriented thinking.
