Job Title: Steward / Housekeeper

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Scope

  • We are looking for professional and hard-working stewards able to attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all sanitation standards are met. Also, attend to customer needs, assist wait staff, ensure all stations are well stocked, and assist in keeping all areas clean and sanitary.
  • To be successful as a steward, you should be committed to working hard, and have the physical stamina to be on your feet and moving for the duration of your shifts. You should be friendly and helpful to customers and have strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
  • Notify superiors of any damage, deficits, and disturbances.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
  • Report all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Manager.

Skills & Requirements
Candidates must possess:

  • Minimum of OND, HND or B.Sc.
  • 2-year cognate experience in the same role or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Customer-oriented and friendly.
  • Assist guests with requests and questions, as necessary.
  • Stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Working quickly without compromising quality.
  • Knowledge of the English language.
