Hobark International Limited is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Marine Superintendent
Req: 0768
Location: Offshore, Lagos, Nigeria
Rotation: 4 weeks on 4 weeks off
Job Objective/ Purpose of Job
- Responsible for the development of appropriate procedures and policies for the management of all aspects of efficient and safe marine vessel operations at Terminals, surrounding production facilities, Drilling rigs, Barges and other Marine equipment on hire to the company.
Professional Qualification
- Class 1 (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency
- DCE (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement) Petroleum preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years experience as a Ships Captain, Marine Supt or Mooring/Loading Master. Oil & Gas terminal experience preferred. Previous FPSO experience desirable.
Key Competencies Requirements
Functional/ Technical:
Knowledge of:
- Industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISSGOT, OCIMF etc) and their usage within the Company's operations
- Mooring, Unmooring, Loading processes and procedures
Managerial:
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills, including commitment knowledge transfer
- Ability to build relationships with, and effectively challenge third parties.
- Ability to represent the Company in marine
Behavioural:
- Must be able to present a calm demeanour.
- Review and make decisions of an operational nature when events become critical
