Psyntech Limited - Our client, a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications, ISP & IP Telephony/TV, and other Information Technology services in Nigeria, requires the services of suitably qualified and experienced candidates for urgent employment in Lagos. Client is undergoing rapid growth and now requires this role to be filled urgently.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions
- Manage the deployment and rollout of fibre optic infrastructure to support point to point fibre and FTTx.
- Set, monitor, analyse and manage subcontractor performance as well as ensures the quality of the subcontractor's fibre optic & civil works workmanship.
- Supervise the field service teams performing the installation and construction work.
- Provide regular reporting on the projects to management.
- Interfacing with all stakeholders i.e. design team, business development, finance/billing, senior management on project timing/delivery.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Project Manager.
Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science/ Engineering/any related disciplines form a reputable University with a minimum of second class upper (2.1)
- Master's degree would be an added advantage
- Project management Certification (PMP and/or Prince2).
- Age: Must be between 30-35 years
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years Telecommunications' experience
- Must have 5 years' experience in Project Management (2 years in Fibre Network Deployment end to end)
- Experience managing FTTH community design, installation and commissioning of projects.
- Experience with vendors in FTTH technology.
- User experience for Visio/AutoCAD/GIS tools is desired
- User experience for Microsoft Office Tools including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge in the GPON/GEPON/FTTx technology.
- Extensive knowledge of Triple Play services over FTTx network.
- Specific Knowledge of Civil Works planning applications with Nigerian Local Authorities.
- Good Knowledge of Telecoms Industry
- Excellent Project and Program management skills.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Personal Traits:
- Must be assertive, Confident, organized, result oriented and have a winning personality.
- Must be Target driven and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Good team player with the ability to motivate others.
- Comfortable complying with company procedures and enforcing same.
