We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Oiler

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• To clean the engine spaces and machinery, ensure they are adequately lubricated and assisting the engineers as directed
• Compliance with the Company's QHSE policy and guidelines
• Cleans and maintains the Engine Room.
• Helps maintains and repair engine.
• Repairs and welds deck and engine part.
• Assists the Chief Engineer in the management and maintenance of the engine room and its machinery.
• Ensure that all accessories and tools under his care are in good running condition.
• Performs navigational and anchor watch.
• Reports to his Chief Engineer any defect found in any machinery and equipment under his custody.
• Ensure all equipment are adequately lubricated and greased
• Report to the chief engineer weekly on the stock level of all lubrication grease to ensure a minimum of two (2) weeks stock.
• Performs such other functions as may be assigned by superiors.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / OND / B.Sc qualification
• At least 5 years experience as an oiler
• The Oiler / Wiper must be physically and mentally able to perform their duties in all weather conditions
• The Oiler/Wiper must also be able to perform his duties under any weather and sea conditions
• Able to work in confined spaces
• BOSIET/HUET+STCW
• Offshore Medical Certificate
• Able to read and write in English.
