Job Title: Management Accountant

Job Description
- Reports directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will provide excellent support service in financial control department of the organisation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and other management reports
- Manage the company's funds to yield optimal returns and ensure availability of funds to meet all approved obligation at all times.
- Maintenance of investment and bank deposit schedule and records.
- Conduct investment analysis and appraisal of investment portfolio.
- Provide support on tax management reviews, reports and enquiries and liaise with consultants on company income tax remittance.
- Review and ensure accurate weekly reports on Production and Cash Collection generation
- General Ledger review and maintenance of general ledger file, review of trial balance trend analysis and exceptions report.
- Monitor and ensure remittances of VAT, Withholding tax, PAYE deductions and company income taxes.
- Prepare statutory reports and accounts.
- Prepare the budget and quarterly forecasts and perform all variance analysis for approval by the financial contoller
Requirements
The successful candidate must be:
- Be a qualified accountant or a finalist, who is looking to take the next step in their career
- Have a good eye for detail, coupled with a strong academic background. A university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance related courses is a requirement.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience.
- Have a working knowledge of Management Accounting fundamentals and its applications.
- Be familiar wIth best practices in the professional field of accounting and financial analysis.
- Require excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance individuals.
- Be computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles.
- Maximum age is 35 years
